Language Matters

I was watching a presentation by a woman investor that focused on investing in female founders or excuse me, they invested in “Cis, Trans, and Non-binary Femmes Founders.”

She used this phrase, “Cis, Trans, and Non-binary Femmes” every time she referred to the founders they invest in. I think she used the phrase a half dozen times. “Cis, Trans, & Non-Binary Femmes.” She acknowledged her use of the phrase and said she used this phrase because “#Language Matters.”

Now, this is not an essay railing against PC culture, but I must say the repeated use of the phrase “Cis, Trans…
